About me
My name is Jelmer Nicasie, a 21 year old Dutch designer, currently a second year bachelor student at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
If I don’t make things for long enough, I get this itch to create. I especially enjoy making things out of scrap or waste materials. And I love taking inspiration from nature or applying nature-like structures to my designs. I also try to apply the philosophy of; “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” to my work, if I don’t have anything that would be an improvement on the state of the world or the happiness of others, why create it at all?
